KEY VOCABULARY

Deepfakes: Deepfakes are audio, images, and/or videos, of a person in which their face, voice, or body has been digitally altered so that they appear to be someone else, typically used maliciously or to spread false information.

Digital footprint: On the Internet, a digital footprint is a word used to describe the trail, traces, or footprints that people leave online. So that means anytime you do or write something online, there will remain a trace even if you delete it. 

Disinformation: Disinformation is false or misleading information which is intended to mislead, deceive or harm others.

Empathy: Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

Fraud: Fraud is something that deceives or tricks another person.

Generative AI: Generative AI is artificial intelligence that uses machine learning algorithms that enable machines to create new or fake data or media - such as audio, code, images, text, simulations, and videos, images, text, and audio - based on the features of its training data.

Malicious: Being malicious is having or showing a desire to cause harm to someone.

Media Usage: Media usage is the sum of information and entertainment on the Internet taken in by an individual or group.

Reputation: Reputation is the general belief or opinion that other people have about you.

Social Responsibility: Social responsibility means that individuals and companies have a duty to act in the best interests of their environment and society as a whole.
