17. Creative Communications

Analyzing some digital artifacts

1. Check with your teacher about working with a small group of three or four classmates to look at different media applications you might consider using for your Creative Communications assignment.  

2. One member of your group needs to copy and/or download the Analysis of Digital Artifact Chart. 

3. Work quickly through each of the nine examples provided, filling in the following three parts:

  • main message
  • rate how well the digital artifact communicates the idea (1-5 with five for very effective)
  • explain the reason(s) why you gave that rating

4. After you have looked at all of the examples of the different type of artifacts created using the applications, complete the last two items for each one:

  • List three or more types of school assignments the application software would be useful for

  • Give an example of when the type of software might be a disadvantage to use for a school assignment 

When your analysis is done make sure all of your names are on the document and check with your teacher about how to turn it in.
